As set down in the framework agreement with the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Network, REF acts as the Partner Institute of the World Economic Forum in Turkey since 2004.
Global Competitiveness Report, which has been the source of great interest in the world, is conducted in more than 130 countries and provides a comparative analysis of competitiveness levels of these countries. It is based on comparison among countries, statistical data and Executive Opinion Surveys. This Executive Opinion Survey has been annually implemented by REF.
In 2009, the survey questionnaire, which is used to gather information in Turkey, was translated into Turkish again and sent over to 500 firms and approximately 100 complete responses received. The survey responses were sent to WEF’ center in Switzerland. World Economic Forum has announced the results of the survey on 3 October, 2009.
Preparations for the 2010 survey have started on November 2009.
